Wood type and pre-amp
The V3 body is made of Indonesian mahogany, known for its warm, clear and full sound. The neck is made from Canadian hard maple for a premium look and feel.
It also has a premium 3-band EQ preamp. This has been newly developed for this series to meet the needs of Marcus Miller's versatility, and to cover different musical styles.
Rounded fretboard
Sire has done something that only custom shops can do on the entire Sire 2nd generation. The rounded edges of the fingerboard give users a firmer and more natural grip compared to other typical fretboards.
Hard and clear paint of the highest quality
The V3 is coated with the highest quality paint. This type of paint is also used in the V7 and M7 series. This gives the V3 a more elegant look compared to other introductory basses applied with cheap lacquers.
